Shafiqa Lala, an Afghan national born on 27/02/1969 in the 6th District of Herat, is a dedicated and accomplished professional with a diverse background. Having earned a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and Biology from the Faculty of Science, Herat-Afghanistan (1983-1986), she has demonstrated proficiency in English, Dari, and Pashto.

Driven by a passion for public service, Shafiqa brings a wealth of experience to her roles. She served as a Program Specialist at FGA from August 2022 to August 2024 and previously held the position of Regional Gender Advisor at UN-HABITAT from April 2008 to September 2021. Notably, she excelled as Team Leader and Community Inclusion Officer at UN-HABITAT (AUPP, AUSSP) from June 2015 to September 2021.

Shafiqa is recognized for her exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. As a self-starter, she can efficiently work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Her commitment to service, coupled with honesty and sincerity in public relations, reflects her strong work ethic.

A quick learner with a solid understanding of teamwork and management, Shafiqa's professional journey includes various roles such as Provincial Trainer, Coordinator, Master Trainer, and Project Manager at UN-HABITAT, contributing significantly to community development in Afghanistan.
