Ghullam Sakhi's educational journey includes graduating from Habibia High School and earning a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Kabul Education University in 2004. With over 15 years of experience in humanitarian responses, emergency management, education, and development, Ghullam Sakhi has emerged as a seasoned professional in the field.

His journey began as a Tracing and Information Officer at the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) from 1996 to 2003. During this time, he played a pivotal role in writing, compiling, and editing public information reports. He also established a Red Cross/Red Crescent communication network, aiding separated family members affected by armed conflict and internal violence.

Transitioning to the United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN-Habitat), Ghullam Sakhi spent six years as a Reporting Assistant and seven years as an MIS Reporting Officer. His noteworthy contribution lies in the implementation of the National Solidarity Program, Afghanistan's flagship development initiative. Overseeing the execution of over ten thousand sub-projects in ten major provinces, he actively participated in the country's rehabilitation.

From 2015 to 2020, Ghullam Sakhi served as an M&E and MIS Reporting Officer in the USAID-funded "Cleaning and Greening Cities" project. Here, he developed the project's online MIS system, facilitating the recruitment of over fifteen thousand laborers across 12 cities for environmental initiatives.

Currently serving as a Data Management Specialist and acting Head of the MERLI department at the Agha Khan Agency for Habitat (AKHA), Ghullam Sakhi is instrumental in designing, developing, and modifying data infrastructure for enhanced analysis and reporting. His responsibilities also include maintaining data management plans, overseeing complex business systems, and evaluating database changes.
